Distance has
great power to make us realize things. It is equally necessary to some extent.
It is when something goes away from us that we start to realize its value. We
take things and especially people for granted when they are near and start to
miss them once they go away from us. Nothing absurd in it. It’s a basic human
tendency. But what we don’t realize is, that if we value something when it is
near to us then the distance would be less painful when they are far. Having
said that, distance also helps us to understand what we mean to someone.
Sometimes just sometimes, we live with the false notion that we mean a lot to
someone but in reality it is just the opposite. That’s when we should really
distance ourselves from that particular person. Emotional distance is much more
hurtful than being physically away from something.
Bonds and
emotions are truly tested through distance. Those who get
through this
distance happily are the luckiest. And those who don’t, well probably it wasn't meant to be. So, stressing on the fact that distance is just not doing any good to a relationship is not worth at all. At times, we just miss someone’s presence. Having them around is all that we need. The mere thought of meeting them makes us happy.
That is when we understand that though they are far physically, the emotional
bond with them is still intact. And honestly, if you connect emotionally well
with someone, physical distance shouldn’t really matter. But that does not mean
that you should not value someone when they are around. For making people feel
special just lessens the distance and the bonds stronger. Never let distance
overpower special bonds for once distance is created, revival becomes difficult.
So, if there are people whom you really value and love, make sure to make them
feel special and loved, as you never know distance can change equations which
might not be in our favor always.
