Too CONFUSED,
to CHOOSE!
Making a
choice has always been a difficult task for me. Be it carrier, relationships or
for that matter a goddamn DRESS. Having too many options and selecting one
among them makes me sick. Not just me, but probably most of the people face the
same thing as I do or I should say most of the teenagers like me surely do.
That’s doesn’t mean it lessens any of my stress but forces me to think why does
this problem and confusion arise in the first place.
According to
what I have experienced till now, there has always been a conflict between WHAT
SHOULD BE DONE and WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE. Or to put in simpler words
there is a conflict between our heart and brain. Sometimes something out of
nowhere catches our attention and we fall for it. It starts dominating our
thoughts. Then suddenly an equally good thing comes in picture, probably better
and then the first thing which we noticed doesn’t seem as good to us as the
second one. But we still feel like clinging on to it. Sometimes it happens that
you get a bad experience from a person whatsoever may be the reason but you
still you feel like talking to that person. CONFUSION!!! And this makes us go
all mad. Ignoring the positive and
negative aspect of every situation, what keeps me awestruck is the fact that
unless and until we start realizing the importance of a particular thing or
situation it is already too late to make things proper. That’s where the whole
“confusion” part starts! There is
always a pressure on us by our family, peers, colleagues and most of the times
we are influenced by the decisions they try to imprint on us less realizing what
is right for our own good and what not. Listening to people is good but
allowing them to make decisions for us is a very bad option. As I keep thinking about various
things happening in my life what I realize is that in the chaos of people
giving me advice and trying to do good something for me I have forgotten to
listen to my OWNSELF! This surely makes me uncomfortable but somehow also gives
me the strength to pick up all the scattered parts and take a stand for myself.
So, next
time that you face a confusion and have to choose, don’t forget to listen to
your inner voice before listening to anybody else. Because you are the perfect
person to choose the right thing for yourself!
